Big melee at Loch of the Lowes Friday and yesterday. Intruders, male and female on and around the nest. Interesting reading on the blog.

Loch of the Lowes male in a wee while ago and mated with the new female. Sometime after he left the nest the female started calling and eventually he came back. He tried to mate with her again but she wasn't receptive. Think she wanted him to bring her supper so she sent him packing. She is calling again so maybe this time he will bring in a fish.

Yes folks, we have an egg at Loch of the Lowes. Laid round about 8pm last night. What are we going to call the new 'lady'?

Second egg should have been laid yesterday or today. No word from staff yet.

Yep, two eggs now at Loch of the Lowes. Not sure when the last one was laid.

I think EJ is sitting on an egg at Loch Garten. She was behaving strangely this afternoon.

EJ laid her first egg yesterday.

First eggs should hatch round about the following dates.

Loch of the Lowes - 19/5/15
Loch Garten - 23/5/15

Hopefully all will go well at Loch of the Lowes and we will have chicks this year.
