Nest Boxes

Post by Mike_k » Sun Feb 28, 2016 1:11 pm

Just put up 5 nest boxes this morning scattered round the garden - 4 tit type boxes and 1 Robin box. Really pleased that within an hour we have some blue tits that seem to have decided to take up residence in one of them. I'll monitor and see what happens. Hopefully, some pictures to follow later.

It is early days for some species but that doesn't stop them house hunting. Good luck Mike

I have just the one this year and a blue tit has been sleeping overnight in there since last November.

Same time every night between 17;45 - 18;15 , if it's really nice weather it's 20;00, there till 07;00 then off he/she goes for the day, but always hanging around the feeders, pleasure to watch them.

Still don't have any actual occupants in any so far, although every so often we get prospective tenants reviewing. Think I'll talk to the estate agent about improving the 'kerb' appeal
