Cotswold Birdland Park and Gardens

Post by Kev » Sat Jul 25, 2015 10:35 pm

I went to the Cotswold Birdland Park and Gardens today.

Not too bad for £10. It's basically a zoo with only birds.

There was a decent variety and I got there just in time for the penguin feeding. Then 20 mins later the pelicans got their fish as well. The park keeper doing the feeding gave a good entertaining commentary full of information and anecdotes on the birds.

They also had caged enclosures with various owls, finches and others. As well as a hot house with a handful of tropical birds.

A nice afternoon out.

Lots of extra pictures here

Been there many times Kev and you have captured some of the magic with awesome photography. If you ever do the Hawk Conservancy in Winchester, I would love to see what your camera skill catches when the vultures fly over heads. I was rubbish (no surprise) and didn't capture a single photo worth sharing. :)

Thanks :)

That Hawk place looks interesting. Not too far away for me. There's also one at Batsford that I keep meaning to try and get to. Maybe have to try and get to one or other before the summer is out!
