I know the look. Dougal out of Father Ted comes to mind I had my first collared Dove fledgling yesterday looking very similar.

Re: FLEDGLINGS 2014
Very sad news on the collared Dove fledgling today. I saw it yesterday looking fluffed up and it was reluctant to fly when I approached for a closer look. It eventually did fly into the Rowan tree and looked fairly happy up there. It appeared again this afternoon this time looking decidedly poorly and acting as though something was stuck in it's throat. Tricho...........the classic sign. Colly Doves are susceptible to tricho but it is the first one I've seen with it. I decided that it was either going die a lingering death by starvation or become a Cat's plaything later today so regrettably I ended it's suffering.

Saw this in the garden just five minutes ago. First time I have had a Robin chick in the garden. Not the best of pics as taken through the window.

I have a good number of Blackbird fledglings visiting at present. It has clearly been a good season for them.
Re: FLEDGLINGS 2014
I've just had a baby sparrow turn up with the parents. They are on their second brood and there's other birds that I've not seen their first brood yet.
