Loved the tame starlings on Springwatch Unsprung tonight.
There were about 8 of them and they just liked sitting on people's heads. It was a joy to watch, I had a big smile on my face all the way through.

I've had 2 ages of sturklets today. The babies were making a godawful noise "feed me, feed me NOW" and the older ones just getting on with eating.

Same here. Definitely another round of Youngsturks. The older ones have settled down but the new'uns are noisy. I reckon that the new Sturklets have to be louder to compete with the other Youngsturks and get the attention they need for feeding. I've actually noticed a Youngsturk feeding a Sturklet, which was nice to see. I'm hoping that I get a better survival rate this year as last year many did not make it to adult.
