COLLARED DOVES

Post by nuthatch » Wed Oct 15, 2014 11:57 am

Six at the ground table this morning.

I had noticed, yesterday morning, that there were quite a few up in the trees in the garden :flying:

I think they've had a bumper year in terms of breeding as I currently have eight visiting whereas in time past 2 or 3 was the norm. :)

Never had one in my garden, even though I have seen them on the roofs in my street. Would not mind one or two.

Think I have posted this before. Most trying to get on at one time has been ten. Sadly no more as the table post broke.

Lovely looking birds. Would not mind a couple in my garden. Nice pic Peregrine.

I'll point a couple in your direction Willpar. I hope you've got plenty of SF hearts as they love `em. :)

Plenty about today - well at least eight in the tree - they looked like decorations on a Christmas tree the way they were spaced out

We usually have a couple. We scatter Sunflower hearts for them.

Here's one from this morning.
