Re: Sparrows
I was wondering where mine had gone. Recent years have seen a steady decline and I have no idea why.
Re: Sparrows
Just a thought. If you are near farmland, there will be plenty of food in the fields. Corn crops and spilled seed from harvesting. Sometimes the hedges here where there are crops are alive with sparrows.
Re: Sparrows
The sparrows have changed tactics here in the garden. Less suet and more seed. Not complaining the seed is cheaper.

Re: Sparrows
Over the last 6 months my sparrow visitors had dwindled down to no more the half a dozen. Today all that changed when they held one of their gatherings in the ivy on my back fence. I did not get to count them as they were well hidden but the noise level gave away their presence.
