Osprey on the nest at Loch of the Lowes. Not sure if male or female. I assume the pictures are live and not a recorded video stream. Looks like there is fresh nesting materials in the cup of the nest. Going by the chest markings I would say this was the female

Male Osprey at Loch of the Lowes as well. Don't know when they both arrived. The blog hasn't been started yet. Great, four out of six of the Ospreys I have been watching are back. Hope the ones from Loch Arkaig are not to long in arriving.

A lot of nest building going on at Loch of the Lowes.

Still nothing at Loch Arkaig. Earliest arrival was on 4 April 2019. Both Louis and Aila arrived on the same day that year.

Female at Loch of the Lowes re-arranging her nest. Spent ten minutes repositioning a stick on every side of the nest but I don't think she is finished with it yet!!

No birds yet at Loch Arkaig, yesterday was the earliest day they had arrived. There has been snow here. Maybe the birds knew and delayed their arrival until it clear.

Loch of the Lowes nest is looking very untidy. Wonder if there has been some squabbles with an intruder?

Snow on Loch of the Lowes and Loch Arkaig nests. Loch Arkaig is the worst and still snowing. No sign of any Ospreys yet.

Loch Arkaig - one bird has returned. Can only see legs and a tail as it is on the perch.
