During October and November I have far too much garden waste to clear away than what my council garden waste wheely bin can take away so I bag it up to dispose off during the quieter months of winter. Today I was emptying one such bag into the wheelie when a fully grown frog appeared. 
I can only assume it had found it's way into the bag and made it it's winter home. It was awake and not dormant so I released it by the pond where hopefully it can spend the remainder of the winter.
I did check to see if others had got the same idea and found none.
