Can't see the cam at Loch of the Lowes showing much Osprey activity this season. Loch Garten cam is showing Kittiwakes. Hasn't been showing Ospreys since the battle royal a few years ago when EJ's eggs were destroyed. I have added a new link below to another nest at Loch Arkaig at Lochaber. Appears to be a pair resident on the nest. Pic quality looks OK. Think I will follow this for a while but still check Loch of the Lowes. Think it belongs to the Woodland Trust. Female is unringed and called Aila. The male is Louis.

I hold my breath regarding Loch of the Lowes. NC0 is back on the nest.

Both Louis and Aila are on the nest at Loch Arkaig.

PS - LM12 is also on the nest then they both flew off.

If only one Osprey is on the nest at Loch of the Lowes and you can't compare sizes of the bird. the male is easily recognised. The tips of his wing feathers extend beyond the end of his tail. NC0 also has more brown on her chest.

Thanks peregrine, I was having trouble recognising them :)
I hope they have some eggs soon, its not looking very promising, they are nestorating but the nest is empty most of the time :(

Hi Butterfly

I have added another link onto my signature - ukospreys.uk.cams-uk.htm. It gives links to most Osprey nest webcam and much more. Even indicates if the webcam is offline. Let me know what you think of it?

No blogg update by staff regarding what went on last week at Loch of the Lowes. Both birds still appear to be there and been on the nest but not as much as before.

Haven't seen LM12 or NC0 on the nest at all today. I was optimistic yesterday when I saw both on the nest after the mayhem the day before. I am now concerned.

They've both been on the nest this morning, but not for long  . In the blog they said that the window for the first egg was the weekend gone :(
