Chaffinch
Chaffinch
Took a photo of this Chaffinch a few days ago. Only just noticed it has a ring on.
If I could have read the details on the ring, or if it had died and I had access to the ring, what should I have done with that data?

The BTO are always keen to hear about birds spotted with rings either alive or deadgreg wrote:Took a photo of this Chaffinch a few days ago. Only just noticed it has a ring on.

Thanks. I've bookmarked the link.
I'll have to keep taking photos to see if I can get the full number. It would be interesting to find out the birds origin.

A m. chaff this morning, bright and early. Looked to be in splendid condition and was quite vocal.
Actually, I think I heard him yesterday but didn't realise what was calling.

Re: Chaffinch
Well done Placi. Chaff visits to the chateau garden are intermittent. A couple of weeks ago they were present every day, recently nothing.
Re: Chaffinch
I go outside this morning and I see this handsome guy , first time ever in my new garden

Know it is still December but my male Chaffinches colours appear to be bright for this time of the year.
