Busiest night so far this year. Half a dozen visits throughout the night but I think some of them are returns from earlier calls  . I must get a visitors book

The trailcam is still recording a steady flow of visits throughout the night. More of my food offer is being eaten which is encouraging. I have not put out any dried mealworms this year which I think disappointed some but the number of visits is now higher than when I did.

Still fattening up for winter (aren't we all ). That's nice.
Mealworms - didn't Willpar say something about the protein content not being high enough, or some thing like that ?

Yes, I've forgotten the exact details and I read about it elsewhere. For Hedgies dried mealworms are like sweeties and are not good for them on any level. :hedgehog: :shake:

It is the calcium phosphorus ratio. Can give them brittle bones.

Aah yes that'll be it. Now you mention it two of my hogs met on the patio the other night and I'm sure I overheard one of them say about it. :shake: :P

Thaaaat's right. There was an article about it in The Hedgie Times last week  so they're all clued up about this problem.
