Lovely pics there kev, wonder how much of that flock is from eastern Europe.

Jacksparrow, there cats here that lie under the yew bush. Sometimes it gets in the bush. The other day it almost got a goldcrest. Took me by surprise when i seen it dive out of the bush. Luckily the goldcrest got away. I was not best pleased and make sure i check the bush now.

Hoping to go back between Xmas and NY and get a nice murmuration. Certainly plenty of birds there, they just didn't murmur too much on the evening I went :)

Starlings have been making their way back here. Usually twos and threes, but this afternoon i had around ten of them. Most i have seen in a while.

Starlings are back with a vengeance here. Feeding young no doubt. Food not lasting long at all.

An extremely unusual sight this morning  : a lone sturkling.
It seemed to be following the path of a feral pigeon which was just meandering across the lawn and the sturkie was in tow :).
Maybe it was new to the game and was learning .
