GARDEN WILDLIFE HEALTH

Post by Placido » Sat Feb 10, 2018 7:07 pm

I found this purely by chance and was intrigued by the similarity to our own name: http://www.gardenwildlifehealth.org

Maybe it's my ignorance because it seems to have been going for a long time but I'd never heard of it, and it's comprised of some very heavy players.

The notion of a wildlife (especially birds) diseases databank seems a very laudable aim but I'm still working on the idea of extracting a sample from a dead bird or hedgehog. However, there are braver folk than I.

A cursory flip-through couldn't find a forum such as ours but I'll look again.

Part of my weekly report to the BTO asks for details of any sick birds, mammals frogs etc. I'm wondering if they pass the information gathered towards that particular organisation.

Wow ... DEFRA found some money down the back of the sofa? :)

Seems they do report to the BTO, Jacksparrow.
