We have no windows looking out that side of the house. They have loads of climbers going up the fence to the left of the (ex) tree.

MrJooMoo has popped down the shop to buy a card and we'll write a grovelling sorry for the misunderstanding note and pop it in their door tonight/tomorrow morning.

Funnily enough, neither Asda nor Tesco do "sorry I chopped your tree wrong" cards :(

Don't grovel too much or they'll be claiming compensation next.

I thought that but didn't wish to seem churlish. Hope the neighbours don't think their reaction has been confirmed by your sending a card, JooMoo. Difficult to know how to play that incident really.

We didn't post a card after, just a note to say very sorry.

My rowan looks very similar at present but after seeing yours I'm too embarrassed to show the photo

Ta all - very proud of my rowan :), but it's having a rest this year I think as the blossom was quite sparse so the birds will have to forage elsewhere :feedbirds:
