Well there we have it :D. Pic of Frandy Rogg.
(Strawbs look good, Jacksparrow. Tip: A sprinkling of Epsom Salts will send 'em away big-time - larger, more vigorous, tastier. Can't beat it.)

It got quite cool overnight and this has cooled the Frog's ardour somewhat. I did see a few during the day but nowhere close to the 20 I saw midweek. :(

It seems Frog activity is dying down in my ponds. I have a good bit of spawn now in both ponds and the splishing and splashing from the courting couples has ceased. On the upside the tadpoles in the earliest batches of spawn are getting restless in their little jelly homes and should be free swimming in a week or so.
The smooth newts have returned yet again to feast on the unfortunate Tadpoles but they will never eat enough to stop the inevitable march of the froglets later this year. :frog: :frog: :frog: :frog: :frog: :frog: :frog: :frog: :frog: :frog: :frog: :frog: :frog: :frog: :frog: :frog: :frog:
