BIRD FEEDING
Re: BIRD FEEDING
It's the same here - a family of 3 dunnocks and Best Mate robin; oh yes, and a few ferals .
Thing is, it happens every single year and I'm always surprised by it

Re: BIRD FEEDING
There's no point squandering any savings as there is next year's feeding frenzy to finance.nuthatch wrote:I meant with the money you might save until the end of Octobernuthatch wrote:Buy yourself a treat you know you deserve it, Jacksparrow

Re: BIRD FEEDING
Becoming more convinced that they are returning to their haunts in my garden.
For mumfs now I've been feeding only 3 times a day (on the ground) but all this week it has been 4. (I make it a rule that all grub is gone by 6 pm-ish.).
Today I added a small extra feed at 5 pm due to overwhelming demand - robin, couple of sparrows, 3 blackies. , 2 collies.

Re: BIRD FEEDING
I have so many empty coconut shells I have tried to make my own fat cakes ,they are eating them up so they cannot be to bad.
Re: BIRD FEEDING
If you can bash coconut shells into wee enough pieces they make a good mulch.
