Only once had one in the garden many years ago. There are plenty kicking around in the park out front.

 For 48 enchanted hours I am in the midst of a sudden and unexpected volery of pied wagtails :roses: .
Three actually and they appear to be youngsters (at least they all look like females, grey). They are skipping around the grass across the road and now and then on my front lawn simply revelling in joie de vivre. They run in their inimitable way and find whatever to eat on the lawn.
Why and whence I cannot say but so good to see them :tampoline:.

There must be a collective noun for Wagtails but I haven't head it yet. But congrats anyway at being chosen to host the display.

Collective noun: see line 1 :P.

It gets better :D - an early riser in the back garden. Closer inspection (almost) confirms that it's a youngster. Is this a record ? Should I inform anyone ? Will I be inundated with twitchers once the noos gets out ?

Yep! Better comb your hair and give your shoes a brush in case the media wish you to make a comment on camera

Yesterday at 1 pm, thunderstorm complete with lightning and the torrentials. Immediate entry of 2 pied wags, ecstatically running around in the rain pecking at whoknowswot.
Tried to get pic but they never stand still :bolt: :flying:.
Left worrying about the absence of the 3rd :( ...
