Yes a bit later this year nuthatch. Don't know if they are the same two though. Came in again today, in fact the male was waiting for me when I got back from feeding walk. And I noticed today a robin has cottoned on to the mealworms also. Made a couple of swoops down to get some.

My pied wagtails have departed now. The male went over three weeks ago. The last time I seen the female was Tuesday just gone. That's it until November now. Hope they have a good breeding season.

Pleased to report that two Pied Wagtails were out in the car park this morning by my front door. But they flew off onto the rooves. Put some mealworms out for them. Does take them a little while to get into the routine. But hey, they are back for the winter. A little earlier also.

Here they both are. Taken this morning. They just stay long enough to get some food then go away again at the moment.

Got home from feeding the birds this morning, there were four pied wagtails out in the carpark. Only usually have two. Be interesting to see how this pans out.

Pied wagtail season is now over. One left around four weeks ago, the other was here last Sunday but not seen it since. Hope they have a good breeding season, and see them again October/November.
