Young Blackbirds look terribly vulnerable when they're just fledged. The excellent :photo: show that all too clearly. :nod:

I have never seen a blackbird yet i do have a very quiet garden .

That's extraordinary greeenfinch. Blackbirds are one of the most common garden birds in the UK. I cannot believe that there is nothing in your garden to interest them.
PS perhaps its the Gulls they're keeping clear of. :shrug:

I think greenfinch means in recent weeks or maybe a couple of months, Jacksparrow. She has written about the blackbirds in her garden :blackbird:

I think the feathers develop quite quickly if they're already in quill. Days rather than weeks I think. :)
