Very interesting. Your last pic, Bikey - the sturk (Arnie ?) is a model of concentration and really paying attention to what's being said.
And it's so kind of them to provide sturkling roosting posts scattered amongst the audience. Nice touch that :).

Yep, that is Arnie again placi. Rose was talking to him and he was reacting to every word she said. All the time Rose was talking to him, Arnie kept his focus on her and seemed to answer back a few times too. Lloyd and Rose live and breath their birds and the bond between them is clear and delightful to witness. :) :)

Delightful photos Mike. They really show off the Starlings brilliant plumage. It is a shame that the spots wear off during the year and they seem to be a dull black.

Thanks - I think they are underrated as 'pretty' looking birds and they look even better when the sun shines on them.

I saw my first starling today. I heard him first. He was sat on the edge of the neighbour's roof.
I don't usually get them in my garden much.

A lone teenage sturk breakfasted today . Enjoyed the seeds and pellets and then flew off. Haven't seen it since .......
Very good to know there's at least one in the neighbourhood.
