Other things on their minds at this time of year. Have no fear.....they'll be back.

It would appear I'm playing host(up until now unwittingly) to a nest of young Robins. Over the last few days the constant coming and going of the attendant parents has given the game away. I am,of course, delighted if not a little miffed that they have sneaked in unnoticed grabbing weeks of rent-free accommodation. :(

Wonderful news, you old skinflint.
This is probably a pair's second brood - they're used to it by now and are canny enuf to circumvent paying rent. I'll send you some second-hand romper suits.
Keep watching 'cos there's time for a third in August

Where are they nesting (they nest in some very peculiar places do robins ) ??

They are nesting in the ivy on my garden wall very near to where last year's nest was sighted. Hurry up with the romper suits as I've feeling the potential users are growing fast. :)

Despite the rather iffy weather today my pair of Robins have been working tirelessly to provide for their growing family. Although it would be easy for me to get a glimpse in the nest for a head count I have resisted the temptation as I wouldn't want to spook either the parents or the nestlings. :shake:

Teenage robin toady, still in brown/cream t-shirt. Very sure of himself and full of life.
