Frosty outside , so just done all the feeders and along comes Mr Robin.

Looks just a tad guilty - and fat !! Is he over-eating ?!?!

Well if he has it aint been here cos we been away for 10 days.

First contact of this winter : drew kitchen blind and an instant robin was fluttering up and down the glass.
Hurried with brekkers whilst he waited on the door hangle. Went outside and fed him a couple of suet pellets on the patio wall, then fed the disorderly queue.

Thing is, I don't know whether this is last year's robin or my new Best Mate, Bobbin. The moves were all the same as last year but I have observed that new youngsters are taught the correct moves to obtain food in late spring which they remember until circumstances dictate (like 4 degrees of frost this morning) so it's anybody's guess really ......
Still, nice to know that the cycle repeats itself.

You're already trained. It's the young Robins that require pointers on etiquette.
