Re: Robin
I visited my uncle today and his Robin was singing his "this is my territory" song which we often hear in the autumn. There's nothing like making an early start.

Re: Robin
While pottering in the garden today I became aware that I was being twitted at. My first thought that it was Blue Tit as they make a very similar noise. I scanned the Elder tree for the noisy bird and spotted a juvenile Robin which was making the noise. On reflection I decided it's attention was elsewhere rather than any objection to my presence.
Re: Robin
Shame that the youngster didn't wish to strike up a conversation, Jacksparrow , maybe next time .....
A very young youngster this morning on the patio wall outside the kitchen - hardly a ghost of orange on his/her t-shirt. I had thought that all the new brood were teenagers by now but no, still an almost new one.

The Return Of Rexit !!
I thought it was him the other day when 'a' robin was sitting on his special branch looking in the kitchen window and seen flitting about occasionally, because lately there hasn't been a single robin around.
This morning (temp. 54F) he was first down for brekkers and ignored me completely (normal ).

I think Turf Wars has broken out - rather early I think
Opened kitchen door with brekkers this morning and was taken aback by the ferocity and choice words coming from a robin over there <<<<< and another over there >>>>>. The cussing continued whilst I doled out the food and then suddenly stopped .
After all, there's no need to get silly about it - first things first .
