All your bird talk in here
I'm so happy to report that there are (at least) 2 coal tits that have been coming to the feeder regularly for a while now, they are really gorgeous . And they seem to feel very comfortable here, even with all the other birds around, they always manage to get their meal. The other day, I was outside, near the hanging feeder where they come to eat and one of them flew to it, had a little nibble and flew away, all while I was standing near by! I was really surprised
I would dearly love to swap tales about visiting Coal Tits but they seldom come to my feeders either now or in the past. I think it is because of where I live they are not that common. None of the other members of the tit family are that common either.
I saw a coal tit fledgeling just earlier! Omg such a cute thing . I was just getting out the door with a water can to top up the bird bath (lost count how many times ) when I heard this tiny noise, and than saw a parent feeding the little one , so pleased! They've been so busy, just like the rest of the birds, taking food away to the nest. Heart warming to see one so close . I didn't have camera with me
