Early, a pair of coalies hoovering up any remnants of last eve's supper. Don't often see one, two is a gift :).

I'm so happy to report that there are (at least) 2 coal tits that have been coming to the feeder regularly for a while now, they are really gorgeous  . And they seem to feel very comfortable here, even with all the other birds around, they always manage to get their meal. The other day, I was outside, near the hanging feeder where they come to eat and one of them flew to it, had a little nibble and flew away, all while I was standing near by! I was really surprised  :D

That's great Butterfly. Not seen them here. I get mainly blue ones. Especially this time of year.

There are lots of them here, lots of tits that is. They fly together sometimes, I saw a group of them flying around the trees, around maybe 20 of them. It was such a sight

I would dearly love to swap tales about visiting Coal Tits but they seldom come to my feeders either now or in the past. :( I think it is because of where I live they are not that common. None of the other members of the tit family are that common either.

I saw a coal tit fledgeling just earlier! Omg such a cute thing  :hug2: . I was just getting out the door with a water can to top up the bird bath (lost count how many times  ) when I heard this tiny noise, and than saw a parent feeding the little one  , so pleased! They've been so busy, just like the rest of the birds, taking food away to the nest. Heart warming to see one so close :goodvibes: . I didn't have camera with me :(

First that I have actually noticed, but a coal tit came into the garden today and had a peck at some fat balls. Such a lovely little bird.
