Ospreys
Re: Ospreys
First year I started watching the Ospreys was from Loch Garten. Unfortunately that year the third and smallest chick died at the hands of the oldest sibling. It wasn't nice to watch but that is nature.
Re: Ospreys
Second chick (Loch Arkaig) hatch this morning just before 10.00 AM. Roll on Thursday for the third one.
Re: Ospreys
Its lovely to see that chicks in both nests are doing well . Lets hope it stays that way and the youngest ones get enough food
Re: Ospreys
Think there are three chicks at Loch Arkaig but can't be sure.
Looks like there has been some human input to the nest at Glaslyn. At the right side and back of the nest there is some wire holding some of the sticks together.

Re: Ospreys
Chicks were getting fed on both nests.
The Glaslyn chicks are fairly coming on. True feathers are starting to appear so they will start to look like little Ospreys shortly.
