Ospreys
Re: Ospreys
Loch Arkaig - Captain and Vera on the nest. Doddie away for a jaunt.
Glaslyn - one chick feeding itself, another being fed by Mum and other one either on the branch or away exploring.

Re: Ospreys
I think Captain has fledged. Only one chick on the nest and I think it is Vera. Can't see the ring clearly.
Re: Ospreys
Loch Arkaig - Wet day. Two chicks on the nest. Assume they are Captain and Vera.
Glaslyn - Two chicks and Mum on the nest. Both chicks feeding, KC2 with a large trout. Mum picking on scraps lying around and has now taken to the air.

Re: Ospreys
Loch Arkaig - AIla just left the nest with part of a fish. Thought the remaining chick was Vera but the tag shows that it is Captain (JJ7). No sign of Vera. Does that mean all chicks at Loch Arkaig have fledged. Blog doesn't make it clear.

Re: Ospreys
Yip! Looks like all chicks from both nests have fledged. Come August, the females will be thinking of migrating and another season will start to draw to a close.
Best about this season, both nests have fledged three chicks each.

Re: Ospreys
Yes, its absolutely fantastic that both nests were 100% successful this year! As a result, we have 6 more healthy, strong ospreys

Loch Arkaig - Doddie, Captain and Vera all on the nest
Glaslyn - wet - looks like only KC4 on the nest and tucking into a big breakfast
