OWLS

I'd heard them calling for a couple of nights before last night :moon:

It was so loud and near - at first I thought it was was some people messing about but there didn't seem to be anyone else - no laughter or banter.

So this owl must have been on our hedge for a short while :) I got up to look but didn't see anything. I did check the tawny owl call on the British Garden Birds site and it was the same sound :owl:

 Jacksparrow :owl:

Placi, this time of year I always hear one/a couple up in the horse chestnut tree just outside the garden. Maybe it spotted a few snacks leaping around in the garden :mouse:  wouldn't that be a sight to see when looking out for Foxy

Mmm - not really sure how much swooping room they need though

That's brilliant to be able to set your calendar by the guaranteed toowitting of a owl. Keep looking :magnify:

Was in a rural area I don't normally frequent toady and there was a barn owl on a fence post. Facing away from the road and into a field.

Can'r recall when I saw one last :owl:
