Went out with second lot of food this morning, and counted 7 blue tits in the hawthorn. Never had that many before. Have been putting out more hanging stuff as well.

Put out a small glass dish with mini mealworms in it this morning. Have had a steady stream of blue tits ever since.

Was watching them through my bins. They would take one up on a branch, stand on it and then proceed to pull it apart. All good wholesome food.

Loud and clear in today's warm sunshine came the courting whistle of a blue tit
