3 of 4 kestrel young this morning. The farmer gave me permission a month or so ago to get close to them but I have been holding off until they are ready to fledge. It pays to schmooz

It was a nice moment but I seldom get a proper sharp photo of them. Always seems a little grainy. I think they may have mystical powers. They are my favourite animal so it is a bit frustrating

As expected the first of the four kestrels has left it's nest this morning and was showing off its guns

Up through the woods canopy today. I would never have spotted her until she cried out. My favourite animal and my ears went in to auto pilot. They do have a very distinctive call.
