Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....
A Dunnock. By no means a rarity but the first I've seen in the garden for 3 months. I think a couple were predated by local moggies but now the undergrowth has died down a little they can't hide.

A jay today . Just mooching around the ground feeder cage with not much luck .
Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....
Dunnock is up early in the morning. Usually the first to come in for some food. Could have two at the moment.
Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....
I saw a bunch of tits, about 15 of them, blue tits, great tits and coal tits working as a team today. They kept the robin busy chasing them, and he could chase only 1 at the time, which gave time to others to attack the feeders and stuff their faces . It was entertaining but worrying as well as he kept chasing them, so not necessary
Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....
One starling flew into my garden glass door today . I was so shocked, because its an adult, probably been around the garden many times and in spite of decals on my windows.
Thankfully it all ended well, he just got dizzy for a minute and than flew off

If the birds are panicked by something looking for decals is not the first thing on their mind.
Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....
Apart from the usual starlings, this morning I have had two blue tits two great tits and two robins. Colder weather no doubt driving them in. is rather brrrrrr out there.
