It is nice to see the doves which are now rare visitors in my garden. I do get other members of the pigeon family in good numbers so I'm wondering if the doves don't enjoy their bigger cousins being around.

I get plenty of wood pigeons and stock doves as well, luckily not feral pigeons, and apart from some push and shove sometimes they seem to get along just fine

Unfortunately the ferals are a continuing presence in my garden. The Stock Doves seem to hang around with them only turning up alone very occasionally .

Still getting ferals here, but around four at the most.

I hope it stays that way. News of an easy meal seems to spread quickly in the feral community around my way.

I have starlings fledglings in my garden and area around me, but I've seen very few this year :( . They usually hang around my garden because of the food and bathing facilities provided, and its been around a week since I saw/heard the first one, expecting to have the usual mayhem following, but not this year. Still only few around. I know that at least 2 of them were killed by a cat :wife: , I heard their screams but unfortunately was too far away to help. They seem to be having a bad breading year :( , at least around my area.

I have been away for a few days but my daughter has been keeping an eye on the feeders etc. She says the Starling fledglings have been arriving over the weekend but two of them have been killed by the Sprawk!

Not seen any starling fledglings here yet. Shame about the ones taken by the Sprawk.
