First chicks I usually get are Starlings, but not this year. I've a family of House Sparrows that feed under the bird table.

Once the Starling chicks arrive I wish the house was soundproofed .

I saw a poorly looking Woodie :( It sat on the fence looking very fluffed up and occasionally shaking it's head. If had been a Greenfinch I would have said tricho for sure. :(

Sorry to hear that Jack, its always sad to see a sick bird :( . You never know, it might recover. Lets keep our fingers crossed :)

Poorly Pidge turned up again today looking very slightly less poorly :) It continues to keep on stretching it's neck and shaking its head a little and I'm not certain it is seeing or hearing as well as it should. However it flies confidently and has no trouble landing :shrug:

A male Mandarin Duck. Usually they are escapees from collections but there are some feral flocks scattered around the country. :duck:
