I'm kind of relieved to hear that. Seems as though closure has been achieved.

First woodie toady since the snow came. I usually am not short of these funny birds but only have had collie doves since Friday.

Now that the trees are in full leaf it's not possible to see the p'nut feeder hanging from the silver birch. I sort of think that's nice and safe for the little birds.
This morning early a woodie was somehow hanging onto a downward drooping branch and managing to extract nuts from the feeder.
I always imagined they were a bit daft :shake:.

Woodies do appear to be a little dim but their success and increasing numbers are at odds with that. They are a major pest for farmers but I think the ones that visit gardens are of a different ilk and in my garden they have never given me cause to wish they were elsewhere. :)

So many woodies around this year.
Rounded a corner on two wheels this morning in the VW veteran speedster and there were four of them, sitting equidistant all across the road. 'Twas like a student protest of the '60s ....

I hope the "protesters" were spared the ultimate sacrifice for their cause.
PS Have you reported the theft of the two wheels from your VW speedster?
