A brand new woodie in my garden this morning
Apart from that, my garden is totally quiet as I had to stop all activities because I will be moving soon. I'm so sad seeing it so empty

I have been feeding the birds for a number of years now and have always had Wood Pigeon. One, two and on occasions three. This years I can get ten or more. At times, a real battle royal with feathers flying everywhere,
I did put on another post I could get one, two or three Wood Pigeons. That was before the current invasion.

They just love fighting! From what I've seen, and I always get wood pigeons in and around my garden, they fight more than other birds, they quarrel almost more than starlings

I've never had a problem with Woodies. They normally arrive and generally mind their own business. I am currently hosting only 2 which is half what I had this time last year. Where have they gone?
Butterfly moving home again

. It only seems a short while since you moved to your current location.

This mornings lot.
Five feeding
Two fighting
One out of shot
This is becoming quite regular.

I found a dead adult Woodie in the garden today

. There was no obvious sign as to the cause of death.
