Re: WHAT I SAW TODAY.....
This little chap flew into our living room window knocking itself unconscious. Mrs Jake rescued it and nursed it back to health. First time a Nuthatch chick in the garden but what drama.

Well done Mrs Jake.
I am fairly certain that it's the first time I've seen a photo of a Nuthatch chick.![smile :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)

Over the micro copse this morning to put down the bird food. Put some down on one slate turned around to go to the other and there was a cock pheasant at my feet. Got a handful of food and offered it, did come with inches of my hand but no farther. So got to other slate and was putting the food down and came even closer, just inches from my hand. Made my morning so far.

Interaction (or almost!) is most definitely a morning making event.
Hope things become even more interesting, Willpar![smile :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)

If it was a farm raised bird for the shooting season at some point it could be very used to humans and only associate them with a nice feed. A very nice experience anyhow. ![smile :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)
