TREES AND LEAVES

Post by Jacksparrow » Tue Sep 09, 2014 8:15 pm

Around my part of the UK(South Midlands) the autumn seems to have arrived early. The leaves on many trees are showing signs of autumnal colours and many are actually dropping their leaves. This kind of activity is common in October but seldom in early September. I know we had a few cold nights in August and it has been dry of late but I still think they're getting ahead of the usual timing for autumn.

Picked up 17 more conkers today. I heard one land on a parked car when I was out in the garden so went to see if there were any whole ones around - as opposed to squashed ones

Nah, Jacksparrow - I just keep them nearby and admire them and hope they may keep the s-word crawlies away  :sofa:

Have picked up another 23 this morning but that included twins - two halves I took straight out of the prickly casing
