NEWTS

I was trawling the nature pond yesterday to remove Duck Weed and accidently caught two Smooth Newts. They seemed a bit lethargic which isn't surprising as the pond water is still very cold. :cold2:

I not acquainted with any of the Fink-Nottles nor unfortunately am I a member of the Drones Club :bee: :bee: :bee: Bertie never saw fit to introduce me. :(

First sighting of a newt this spring today. They always appear when the young Tadders strike out on their own. :)

The first confirmed Newt sightings of the year today in the chateau lake. Tadders beware :bolt:

The pondwater has only recently reached a temperature which make them active. I have seen a reduction in numbers over the last few years so I expect they are becoming harder to spot when they do appear. :nod:

Ah, yes - fewer noots = fewer noots (Law of Diminishing Probabilities). Elementary, my dear thingie :shrug:.
