Mine isn't flowering yet. Wonder whether that has something to do with the unfortunate fact that there's not toooooo much water in the pond.

As they are a marginal they only need damp roots to flourish so maybe their roots aren't deep enough in lake Placido :)

Although it is not strictly a water dependent flower the Purple Loosestrife likes to have it's toes in the water. Mine is at it's very best right now.

During last years relining of the nature pond I took the opportunity to cut back the water lily that resides in it. It was a severe trim and I did wonder whether I'd over done it as it took ages to produce any leaves(a.k.a. lily pads) but it has picked up and this weekend has rewarded me with 4 flowers. :)
