I noticed today that there are still adult Frogs active in my ponds at present
, but for the first time for a while I did not spot any youngsters.

I still have active adult Frogs in my ponds. It takes more than 6 degrees of frost to put them off.

Over the weekend Frog arrivals has gone in to overdrive. I counted 16 this afternoon but I think there are more . There is plenty of croaking happening to tempt the would-be mums and....................ta daaaaa.......the first blob of spawn.
Usually I am behind the curve as my ponds do not get direct sunlight until next month. I am hoping they have not all jumped the gun and a return to colder weather sees the early spawn frosted.

This is it, isn't it, when we have an unseasonal winter such as this. The animals are fooled and it's a gamble.
