Thing is, on 8 July you (pour c'est vous) replied to my reply to you about your analogy of frogs 'n' fleas. You 'thanked' me for my post, to which I did not reply 'cos I thought the flea thing had gone as far as is necessary and not on my 'Notifications' a '1' is stuck there and won't go away.
So - I had this brainwave, reply to your post and then this irritating unnecessary will vanish. I did, and it hasn't.
No other 'Thanks' behave like this, only yours and only this one.

The '---' is my attempt at eradication. It didn't work .

I almost gave you a "Thank you" for this post but decided that even with England winning the World Cup your sense of humour was at the end of it's tether. Conversation continues on Page 94

I've had a frog living in my frog bowl all this year and last year - I'm sure it's the same one and he's grown into quite a bruiser! Spotted him earlier this week and again this afternoon with his nose and eyes above the water. Is this unusual, as I thought he should have hibernated well before now, and also that frogs tend to move on after the mating season? Don't think there's enough mud in the bowl for him to go under, although he does hide under the large stones in the bowl and there are some logs and leaf piles in the garden so hopefully he'll find somewhere when he's good and ready.

I too am a little surprised your frog is still about. My ponds froze over a couple of times recently and I haven't seen one since. There is very little food for them at this time of year but yours must be finding something.
