I SAW IT ON THE GRAPEVINE
This is my grapevine today. It is about 20 years old. The photo shows how it looks over winter after it's late Autumn prune. It has always had a self seeded Holly for company which I have never bothered to remove.

I aim to show in photos the amazing growth rate once it gets going and the various stages right through to the 2018 pruning.

What a brill idea . This should be very interesting indeed.
Just a conjecture ....... wonder whether the holly now fulfills the 'companion plant' idea and removal might be injurious to the vine.
P.S.: Honest Placi (Fine Wines) Inc. might find a use for any spare bunches .......

Don't book the wine press just yet. The flowering has yet to happen and that will dictate whether there are bunches or just a bunchPlacido wrote:What a brill idea . This should be very interesting indeed.
