Rear Lawn

Post by johnd83 » Thu Jul 13, 2017 9:23 pm

Good evening all,

I am looking for a little bit of advice regarding our rear lawn. We has a good size rear lawn but it is very patchy and almost bald in some places. The rear garden is over looked by three large trees which is great for wildlife but not so good for the grass. Is there any advice to try to get my lawn to do well as I really want it to be a place where the kids can play without large patches of mud and stones?

Thanks in advance.

I'm no expert on lawns but I do know that some grasses are better suited to shady conditions than others. The trees are probably stealing some of the moisture too so if you're considering re-seeding the bald patches choose a blend of seen that will be happy without needing lots of sun and dry conditions.
