Plants to help attract birds.

Good man all,
I was wondering if there any kind of plants/bushes which would help attract more wildlife to my garden?

I'd always recommend any flowering herb 'cos bees just love them and the beauty of them is that they don't always grow too big. Quite a few can be fitted into odd corners of a garden here and there - they're easy to grow and they help in the kitchen too !!!!
