Thank you he's so lovely isn't he!! (if he is a he!!). This evening I am on nights, but there is remnants (quite a lot) from a shoulder of lamb for him and any others, so that should keep them happy, with a big bone. It is good, as it will be frosty I think, and frozen meat will not thaw out so well!!!
Also there will be some dog biscuits.

I think I need to get some dog biscuits too but am completely out of touch with them now
Are they all much the same with regard to hardness? - is this why cats can't/don't eat them or maybe they try to eat them and don't get very far?

Dog biscuits are quite hard nuthatch. Cats don't seem to eat them. Maybe because the biscuits can be quite large.

I've been looking at some .... so you think to get the adult size pieces or puppy? I suppose the puppy ones might be a bit softer and being smaller the cats could more readily eat them if they liked the taste?

The biscuits I ordered are tiny
I reckon a cat could easily get two or three in its mouth at the same time.
Ginger cat was on the case straight away but when I checked the ground feeder I don't think any had been eaten so hopefully they are too hard for cats to eat.
Later I saw a fox (looking good) it sniffed the biscuits then lifted the fat block and took it across the grass and out through the hedge onto the pavement.
I couldn't believe I looked out of the window at just the right time

Most of the dog biscuits went last night and the fat block too - just have to deduce now who's eating the biscuits
