Re: CATS
Ginger cat has been out there this morning trying to stuff its face with a fat block
Funny - yesterday afternoon it was slinking across the grass when a squirrel on the fence started sort of hissing at it it soon quickened its pace and went through the hedge - I think the birds appreciated that

Re: CATS
Cats use hissing as a form of warning and they dislike being hissed at. It is one of my favourite forms of discouragement and usually sends them scurrying off.
Re: CATS
Mmm - have never thought much about this will now remember to hiss at them
A small squirrel on the fence was again hissing at a small cat this morning, this time a grey one.
I'm wondering now if it's mostly the young squirrels that do this, the grown ups having realised that the cats won't harm them.
Anyway it's good whilst it's lasting

Ooo - I'm not very good at hissing not much volume to it - the ginger cat just looked at me as I disturbed it nosing around the poultry feeder.
A squirrel then came to the rescue and the cat stalked off. I couldn't see it - just heard it

Re: CATS
Friday night the grey cat was just sitting there looking at the poultry feeder cocking its head from side to side and up and down. OH went out and chased it away. About eight minutes later it was back doing the same thing so I went out there with a torch - thought perhaps there was a mouse there but didn't see anything.
Like Willpar I've had my suspicions .... about who is eating the egg yolks. Last night the ginger cat was eating one lot when I was still out there - I turned round and it had just polished it off - probably thinks that's its supper
Will probably vary the time I put it out now
