If it had a black tip to it's tail it was a Stoat. There is also a chance it was a Polecat or a Mink :eek:

it was too fast for me to notice much more than its reddy tail.
I decided it was a stoat based on something on google saying a stoat was about squirrel sized and weasle more large rat sized.

Today I had a Wood Carder Bee in the garden. I don't recall seeing one before.

:butterfly: From an open upstsirs window at lunchtime I saw a white butterfly cross the road at some speed :laugh:

I had to laugh - it looked so out of place somehow :unsure:

I would have thought flying would be much quicker but it may be afraid of heights :butterfly: :dogrun:

While I was out in the garden today I was looking at the flowers and shrubs that still have flowers/blossom and was struck by the fact that they were attracting very few insects. I know the insect season has past it's peak but it did seem odd. However a little later I was adjacent to my fairly substantial Ivy growth and happened to look up to the top and there they all were trying to get at the Ivy blossom which is just starting to open. :)
