Funnily enough I took this picture earlier of the spider hanging out in my bedroom.

In work we've been admiring all the webs just outside the window between the walls and shrubbery. There's some bigonesout there.

Just been moving some cardboard boxes and came face to face with an enormous spider - similar to the one in JooMoos photo !
After wrestling it to the ground I escorted it off the premises. :woohoo:

Wot, no Spider smilies? :)

Had a look peregrine and it seems it is a garden spider/cross spider. Latin name Araneus diadematus.

I have a big crab-looking spider just outside my window. I looked it up in my wildlife book and it seemed it might be a cross spider.
I never went back to see if it had a cross on it though. It was quite orangy.

Had to fight my way through the 'strings' again this morning but at least they were made more visible by the fog
