:ladybird: We were inundated with harlequin ladybirds in the garden yesterday afternoon, both yellow and dark red ones - they were all over the place - there were twelve alone in a corner of the window sill where I look out onto the bird garden :ladybird:

How peculiar. I have rarely seen any ladybirds in my garden this year, Harlequin or otherwise. :(

I was lucky enough to catch a ladybird in my garden yesterday. Sat on a leaf in the some shine. Wasn't sat around long at all. Shame as I wanted a better picture than the one I got. First real trying mag filters on the 18-55mm lens.

It is just the appearance as compared to the Ladybirds we know and love plus they tend to be a little bigger. It is only in recent years Harlequins have started appearing in my part of the England(south west midlands) and I had to google them to check what I was seeing. There are lots of images to be found and you'll soon be an expert like what I is. :) :ladybird: :magnify:
